I've used this program with no problems for about 18 months on Windows XP.
Now I've switched to Windows 7, and I have a problem. Everytime I start Task Manager or some other programs, the taskbar switches to Autohide, causing it to show up when I mouse over it.
Do you have any sort of solution?
Thanks!
Same problem here windows 7 ultimate
purchased the 10 dollary option to have the two commands eliminate and restore
but things are causing the autohide to be set, and making this app useless, anxiously waiting a response!!!!
I also got the Restrict Acces $10 one and it works fine here. i do use the 32bit version..
maybe thats the problem..
and dont expect support here i think the makers dropped this or just doesn't care anymore..
just check the activity on the forum by Aviassin (last message is 17 july 2010 and last edit on site 4 dec 2010)
Hi
Could you please describe the problem in detail, what happens and what operating system are using
x86, x64.
Do you have start with windows on?
What settings? Build and version of taskbar eliminator?
Best Regards
aviassin support
For me:
- windows 7 ultimate x64
- Aviassin Restgrict Access 10$.
It runs the program at start up ( put it in user/appdata/roaming/microsoft/windows/menu start )
But nontheless the taskbar shows. I have to close program, restart program to get rid of taskbar.
Then it works fine.
From time to time my taskbar reverts to windows auto-hide behaviour.
It will always do that when something pops up in the notification area. But sometimes it happens out of the blue.
When it happens this are the consequences:
1. Orb is hidden
2. Start menu cant be acces via win key
3. Start menu CAN be acces by clicking a place on the taskbar where the orb should be
4. Taskbar shows itself when you drag your cursor to the bottom of the screen. And you can see that 1x line of it when hidden (as I said - normal windows autohide)
5. taskbar eliminator process is still running.
Using $10 restrict access build on Win7 x64
btw…I really hate that I cant call up start menu with my win key when using taskbar eliminator.
You should really create some kind of txt config prefrences or something, where one could set that as an option.
Have you tried running it in compatibilty mode for, say, Windows XP (SP3)? I'm trying this now on Windows Home Premium but had to set up the startup shortcut in Startup folder rather than letting the application set it up. Seems to be working so far.
I tried running in compatibilty mode but it did not help. Thanks for the suggestion anyway :)
However, I found a very easy way to reproduce a bug. Just start the task manager, and the taskbar will become visible and in auto-hide mode.
I urge developers to answer…it has been over a month and a half since my post
