I can't find any trace of the program on my Win7 PC. I don't see it as a program, file, folder, update or even in the registry. So how can I uninstall it if I don't like it?
Have a look in 'Programs' 'Start Up'. If taskbar.exe is lurking there, deleter it. Worked for me.
I, too, am unable to determine how to 'uninstall' this. I have read this thread and had no success. Please advise.
Okay, after testing and looking around….here it is…
The executable, as previously stated, is a stand-a-lone self-running program. It runs from folder where it was saved and executed from so when you downloaded it, it may have saved to a 'temp' folder. Also, as previously stated, check your Programs > Startup folder. If it is there it will always run when the user logs in. It can get put in the 'starup' folder if you have clicked the 'Start With Windows' button fro the preferences window. (You can see that window by Ctrl+Alt+T).
—>The fix….don't run the executable. This means remove it from 'startup' if it is there and don't execute it from the parent folder where it is saved. Also to TOTALLY not have it on your machine….delete the executable from your PC.
Again, remember, this does not 'install' it simply 'runs'. Remove the .exe and you remove the program.
Hope this helps.
